It's all about location, location, location.

Here's what makes LA/Ventura a great place to live.

Few areas can legitimately boast a nickname like “The Gold Coast,” but as one of the countries safest and wealthiest counties, Ventura more than earns the title.

About an hour north of L.A., Ventura is close to the action but outside of the day-to-day stress of the big city. It has pristine beaches, sunny
weather, and an outstanding public park system, just some of the reasons why Ventura is consistently voted one of the best places to live. One doesn’t even need to leave Ventura country to take a vacation; the Channel Islands are located just off the coast.

Ventura is among the most prosperous regions in the U.S. It is the headquarters for several of the major players in the high tech, biotech, and healthcare industries including General Dynamics Corp., Verizon, and WellPoint. The popular outdoor clothing brand Patagonia also calls Ventura home.

In addition, Ventura is heavily invested in the arts. It has been the backdrop for many major films, most notably as Sherwood Forest in The Adventures of Robin Hood, and hosts the Westside Art Walk, one of the best in the state. Music fans will appreciate the Majestic Ventura Theater, a classic venue that regularly hosts national touring acts like Tom Petty and Gregg Allman.
